As a SEM Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting keyword research, collaborating on the creation of engaging ad copies, and monitoring ad performance. Your work will involve analyzing data to measure the success of campaigns and making adjustments accordingly to improve results. As part of your job, you will use paid search techniques such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and programmatic advertising to drive leads and sales for your clients. Additionally, you will need to keep up to date with digital marketing trends and developments to ensure your campaigns remain effective.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on keywords and trends to optimize search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns.
  • Create and manage paid search campaigns using various platforms, such as Google Ads and Bing Ads.
  • Analyze data and metrics to evaluate campaign performance and make data- driven decisions to improve results.
  • Develop and implement optimization strategies that focus on improving click- through rates, conversion rates, return on investment and more.
  • Monitor and optimize landing pages to ensure they align with campaign goals and drive conversions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators and designers, to develop and execute successful campaigns.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to identify new opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Provide regular reports on campaign performance and communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets and bid strategies to ensure campaign spend is optimized for maximum ROI.

Requirements:

  • Education and Skills:
    • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field is often preferred.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing concepts, including SEM, SEO, and PPC.
    • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and optimize campaigns.
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in SEM, digital marketing, or related roles is valuable.
    • Familiarity with tools like Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Certifications:
    • Google Ads certification demonstrates expertise in SEM.
    • Other relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Advertising, HubSpot) can be advantageous.
  • Analytical Abilities:
    • SEM Analysts must analyze data, track KPIs, and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools is essential.
  • Communication Skills:
    • SEM Analysts collaborate with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills are crucial.
